‘Mädchen in Uniform’, ah, don’t we all love them? Thomas Rainer, the Austrian, sole member of Nachtmahr, named his new EP after them. An EP wich he will present at Summer Darkness. Nachtmarh makes electro-industrial with pounding beats, military bombast, and rancid vocals, in the vein of Laibach, Xotox and Straftanz. The new EP adds some variety with a cover from a song by Falco and a Rammstein-like military screaming choir on the title track. Rainer performs live in army clothing and some real ‘Mädchen in Uniform’, so don’t expect anything politically correct, but do expect something good.
