INTERNATIONAL GOTHIC FASHION WEEKEND

International Gothic Fashion Weekend
This year During Summer Darkness there will be a lot of attention for fashion. On multiple locations like the Dom Square and Tivoli a wide range of fashion styles will be highlighted, like Gothic Lolita, Post Nuclear Stream and Burlesque. 
Fashion designer Linda Friesen, Web store Attitude Holland and from Belgium, Ultra Violet will show their best works on six different Fashion Shows during the weekend. Attitude Holland is organizing a Model Contest and the festival will start with Bal du Masque. 
The Model Contests by Attitude Holland will take place on Saturday July 30 and Sunday July 31 on the Dom Square. Everybody now has the chance to have his or her moment of fame on the catwalk. On the website of Attitude Holland you can upload your photos, the audience will vote and the winners  will go to the grand finale on Friday the 22nd and Saturday the 23rd of July in Tivoli Oudegracht.
In 2010 Bal du Masque transformed Tivoli Oudegracht to a steamy nightclub of the 1920/40s. This became a grotesque circus where many beautiful creations could be seen. This year the visitors of Summer Darkness will be challenged to make their dreams come true in Shakespear's Mid Summer Night Dream theme. Magic and Illusion your own fairytales and your own adventures. Bal du Masque will make sure the atmosphere will be perfect.
Because of the great success of the Balfolk bands that played on previous editions of Summer Darkness this year we will have a complete Balfolk Fantasy Meeting in the old medieval Leeuwenberg Church on the historical old city center of Utrecht.

- Bal du Masque @ Tivoli Oudegracht (29/7)
