Decadence, cabaret and melancholy: a combination that can only lead to something good. The neofolk of Spiritual Front, or ‘nihilistic suicide pop’ as they call it, is full of those three elements, connecting them to people like Nick Cave and Scott Walker. The yearning string parts and rolling martial drums make it complete. Their sound has earned the band a lot fans, who are in for a treat at Summer Darkness 2010: the presentation of their new album and the accompanying, totally new live show, that is premiered at Summer Darkness. On Saturday the band is headliner at the folk stage, and on the Friday before that the band will play an extra semi acoustic set at the Dom Square.

Ja dat artikel zag ik ook. Valt allemaal wel mee. Het is niet leuk maar het is prima te overzien. 15000 euro en dan ook nog bedoeld voor buitenland promotie. Dat bedrag is niet substantieel afgezet tegen de totale begroting van een dergelijk festival....
