Sopor Aeternus: cinema obscure viewing
Anna-Varney Cantodea, the transgender frontwoman/-man of Sopor Aeternus, is not too fond of humans and for that reason she does not play live. For Summer Darkness, Cantodea - or “our beloved Goddess” as her followers call her - decided to communicate with her audience through a viewing of her DVDs “In der Palästra” en “The Goat...and other re-animated Bodies” on a very special, and currently secret, location. On these DVDs, the highly intense and personal music of Sopor is paired with images of the Goddess and her frightening world. Gothic at its most dark - unfit for tender souls!
