Bal du Masque

On the opening night on Friday, Medusa will transform Tivoli Oudegracht into a night club. Moulin Rouge, the Speak Easy feeling of the twenties, the Berlin of the fourties, Cirque Bizarre and Día de los Muertos meet in a dark embrace on this special edition of Bal du Masque.
A new underground is presented at Summer Darkness! On Friday the 13th, the white and the black angel welcome you to a night that is just as romantic as decadent. To see and not be seen, that’s what it’s about at Bal du Masque. The music varies from Marlene Dietrich to Dead Can Dance and from Clan Of Xymox to Depeche Mode.
Behind her elf bar the green fairy will cheerfully pour Absint, the drink popular among artists from the Fin de Siècle of the 19th century.
Downstairs is Moulin Rouge! Sexy! Party! A bizarre circus! On stage, mystery acts will perform. Sometimes modest, sometimes exuberant, but always stylish.
