The Utrecht Poets' Guild teams up with the ambient poetry-band Asfaltfeeën (Asphalt Faeries) to embark on a nocturnal boat tour along the medieval canals of Utrecht. During the trip, the Guild will share its enchanting, romantic, surreal, phantasmagorical and and ironic view on the old city in lively performance of poetry and music. For foreign guests, an English translation of most poems is available. The Utrechts Poets' Guild is founded by five well-known masters of poetry: Chrétien Breukers, Ruben van Gogh, Alexis de Roode, Ellen Deckwitz (national champion Poetry Slam of Holland 2009) and the city's poet laureate Ingmar Heytze. Together with multi-instrumentalist Cor van Ingen (bass player with the celebrated Dutch band Spinvis), Heytze and Deckwitz are Asfaltfeeën.
The boarding is at Gaardbrug, only 2 bridges away from Tivoli Oudegracht and also nearby Dom Square.
